Trainer and Owner of Fox Dog Training LLC

My name is Naomi, and I have been a professional force-free dog trainer for 6 years. I founded Fox Dog Training LLC immediately after I obtained my Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Behavior through the Center for the Integrative Study of Animal Behavior at Indiana University in 2021. I am always continuing my education through seminars, workshops, and courses with experts, and by staying up to date on the latest behavioral and dog related science in research publications.

Elio is a sensitive and very sweet dog. He helped me dive deeper into the world of cooperative care as he struggled with severe discomfort and fear surrounding grooming care and veterinary handling. He was the first dog I began to compete in dog sports with, and was the first service dog I trained for myself. He is mostly retired due to health and pain.

Elio currently competes in scentwork, does a light amount of conservation detection work, a small amount of service work, and has fun training for dog dance.

Fizzgig is a working dog in the field of conservation detection; this means she spends the spring, summer, and fall seasons detecting data with her nose, which I collect to support conservation efforts. She is wild and full of energy.

Fizzgig competes in scentwork, obedience, and is training for herding.

Fizzgig had complex health issues as a puppy, and taught me so much more about the links between health and behavior.
